DESCRIPTION OF EVENT
It’s time to get our health under control! Vision2020 & Beyond is partnering with the Aiken and Edgefield County communities to organize a MARCH for HOPE. This is an event with the goal of providing education on health and wellness and we are going to have fun while doing it!
MARCH for HOPE has a primary focus on the South Carolina geographical area. There are many health equity issues between Aiken and Edgefield counties and this event is designed to bring a community awareness to that need. We aim to provide hope through connectedness. You will learn about your physical health and wellness; specifically the 9-dimensions of wellness which are:
social
emotional
spiritual
environmental
occupational
financial
intellectual
physical
sexual
MARCH for HOPE will feature several activities; all dealing with your health and wellness. Here’s what to expect!
HEALTH & CARDIO WALK
Take part in a 2-mile walk in the name of good health! All family, friends, colleagues, and others are encouraged to walk together.
HYDRATION STATIONS
If you’re worried about your condition during your MARCH for HOPE or while you are participating in various physical activities, no need! We will have hydration stations set up along with EMS for your convenience.
MIND, BODY, WELLNESS CHAMPION AREAS
After you take your Walk for Hope, you are invited to visit our Mind, Body, Wellness Champion Areas! In these areas, you will be exposed to health/wellness resources, on-site healthy cooking demonstrations, live exercise displays, medical screenings, job fair and more!
VENDOR CRAWL
Explore a number of vendor tables… all who will provide resources related to your health and wellness.
KID ZONE
A bonus for the kids! Not only can they participate in all activities provided, but there will also be a designated are a just for them!

WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND ?
This event is FREE and open to the public. However, you will still need a ticket. You can get your tickets here: xxxxxxxxxx
Please Note: If you would like Walk 4 Hope swag to wear to the event, you can purchase our ‘Merch’ ticket option that comes with event merchandise.
WILL THERE BE FOOD PROVIDED ?
There will be healthy option food trucks on site selling food.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
We suggest the following:
- wearing athletic/comfortable attire and sneakers/walking shoes
- sunscreen
- sunglasses
- portable chairs
- Cash; We cannot guarantee that all vendors will have card readers
- strollers if necessary
WHAT ITEMS AM I NOT ALLOWED TO BRING IN TO THE EVENT?
We will not allow the following into the event:
- pets
- weapons
- illegal items or paraphernalia

WILL THIS EVENT BE CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER?
We have no plans on cancelling due to rain, however if the weather predicts to be dangerous,we will either relocate or cancel the event. In such a case, updates will be made on this webpage.
